Buick continues to crystallize its 2016 lineup with the addition of a new and exciting Sport Touring (ST) trim level for its best-selling models.
The Sport Touring trim imbues each Buick with a performance spirit, adding a rear spoiler to all models along with 18-inch wheels. On top of those modifications, each model has a few specific starting options checked.
2016 Buick Regal Sport Touring
The Regal ST comes decked out on the inside with heated front seats and leather upholstery throughout. Occupants will also enjoy access to the latest Intellilink infotainment display, complete with Wi-Fi connectivity and Apple CarPlay functionality. Under the hood, Regal ST drivers call on the 259 horsepower of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
2016 Buick Verano Sport Touring
Intellilink with Wi-Fi is also featured in the Verano ST, as well as dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat. It’s propelled by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that makes 180 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque.
2016 Buick LaCrosse Sport Touring
Similar to the Regal, the LaCrosse ST also gets leather seating with heated front seats, Intellilink with Wi-Fi, and Apple CarPlay. It sports a 304 horsepower, 264 lb-ft V6 engine (naturally aspirated).
2016 Buick Encore Sport Touring
The only member of Buick’s crossover segment to get a Sport Touring loadout, the Encore ST earns a new 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 153 horsepower – an 11% increase over standard models. This engine is linked to a stop-start feature, and it utilizes direct fuel injection for better efficiency (EPA assessment pending).
The Encore ST also has goodies, including Intellilink 4G LTE, a backup camera, and heated side mirrors. The Sport Touring level crossover is equipped with the Convenience package standard, which comes with:
- 120-volt power outlet
- Auto-dimming rearview mirror
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- Fog lamps
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Remote engine start
From this list, it’s clear that the Sport Touring trim level not only represents a step up in every model – it also makes for an incredible value.
