2016 Buick LaCrosse Intellilink Apple CarPlay Raleigh

A few months back we wrote about two new systems that will let you take full advantage of your smartphone while behind the wheel. Those systems are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Now we’re excited to share with you a list of models that will soon be available with these features. They are as follows:

  • 2016 Buick LaCrosse
  • 2016 Buick Regal
  • 2016 GMC Canyon
  • 2016 GMC Sierra
  • 2016 GMC Yukon
  • 2016 GMC Yukon XL

Notice that all of these vehicles are 2016 models, and all of them will ship with Apple CarPlay functionality. To use Android Auto in new Buick and GMC vehicles, you’ll need to wait until after an update later this year.

As another note, only those vehicles equipped with the seven- or eight-inch touchscreen displays will work with this new smartphone technology.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto function similarly, both allowing you to access a number of compatible smartphone apps via your car’s built in infotainment system. You can also use voice commands to interact with Siri or Google Now.

Both of these systems have the benefit of giving you the familiarity of your smartphone while helping you keep your focus on the road.

Keep your eye on our inventory or follow us on social media to find out when these 2016 Buick and GMC models will show up on our lot. If you have any questions about Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or anything else, feel free to call or visit us at Leith Buick GMC in Wendell.
